In this session, participants will learn a practical approach to coaching that they can apply in developing leaders in their Dgroups and D12.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the session, participants will have:

1. Recognized the difference between coaching, mentoring and discipling in helping people to grow as Christian leaders.

2. Observed a sample coaching session.

3. Practiced the same coaching process in a simulated situation.

4. Committed to use a “coach approach” to help develop new leaders in their churches and fellowships.


Understanding another person involves knowing the basic facts about him or her as well as taking time to listen carefully to what he/she shares with you. In counseling, you get to now a counselee as best as you can so that you can understand where he or she is coming from so that you can point your counselee in the right direction. You will learn more about the what, why and how of basic Biblical counseling in this session.


In this session, trainees will learn principles and practices from the Bible that pertain to mediation and personal reconciliation as vital leadership skills in resolving conflicts specially among believers.
